Some
of the best things in life are started on a wing and a prayer, often out of necessity, and Heavenly Confectionery falls into that
category.
In 2003, when a respected
chef suggested I make candy professionally I decided to give it a go and the
adventure began. I produced one item only at the holidays – Kentucky Bourbon Balls. Since then I have had the pleasure of
studying at the French Pastry school in Chicago and with one of the finest
chocolatiers in the business who currently resides in Vermont. The line has expanded to
include Chocolate Truffles, Creams, Barks and Fudge. Low-carb and sugar free
items are available by request.
All
of our candy is hand made and hand dipped in the kitchen at Heavenly
Confectionery. No factories, no
machines, no assembly lines. Check this website or call to find out what is
currently available. At any given time
there will be a variety of Truffles available. Some of the possibilities include
Bittersweet, Kahlua, Ginger, Hot Pepper
or
Triple Chocolate (my personal favorite), just to name a few. Flavors for the Creams include lemon,
vanilla, raspberry, coconut or peppermint.
Products and flavors are added depending on the season or at the whim of
the head chocolatier! So please! Call or email to see what’s on the
menu. Also, I love suggestions and
creating new things – ask if you have something special in mind.
Since
the beginning, the flagship product of the line has been the Kentucky Bourbon Ball. Creamy and decadent with pecans and
bourbon in a buttery cream center then hand dipped in dark chocolate. Though traditionally they are a holiday
item, with Heavenly Confectionery they are always available – even in August!
